So who are we?
The 90's was a period where boy bands roadmed the earth and little girls dressed up like the spice girls. This was also
the era of the oringal Yonip.
They had several activities aside from their participation in social, cultural, and civic functions in the Rio Grande
Valley. They started the yearly Christmas Carolling which was the main source of the Scholarship fund from 1999 to 2001. In
2001 the group officers were Sandee Zaldivar, Jonathan Velasco, and Allan Bolido. In 2003 the group officers were Fritzie
Into, Carmelie Zaldivar, and Adrian Bolido. Back then, our female youth members, Alyssa Bolido, Gladys Baldono, Shiela Baldono,
Irish Funtanilla, Jaygee Zaldivar, Sandee Zaldivar, Carmelie Zaldivar, Ayzza Zaldivar, Fritzie Into, Judynee Into, Kerry Into,
Rachelle Oblimar, Richelle Reyes, and Maria Clark were called the "YONIP ANGELS".
This is a site dedicated to the second generation of Yonips that will continue the traditions that were established
by their predecessor's while maintaining a style of their own
